This policy explains what the Balance Practitioner and Balance Points apps collect, why, where it is kept, and who can see it. Bharath Wellness Center ("the clinic", "we") provides both apps.
Balance Practitioner
This app is used only by the clinic's practitioners, who sign in with an email address and password. It is a clinical record: practitioners enter information about patients who attend the clinic.
- Practitioner account: email address, used to sign in.
- Patient details: name, phone numbers, address, date of birth, gender, occupation, marital status, who referred them, allergies, surgeries, medications and previous treatment.
- Visit records: answers to intake questions, pain locations and levels, examination findings, treatment given, pain scores, diet plan and advice, recommendations, follow-up date, and the practitioner's notes, grouped by complaint.
- Clinic details: the clinic's name, the practitioner's name, and the clinic's phone number and address, entered by the practitioner.
- Tongue photos: kept only on the device where they were taken. They are not uploaded.
- Treatment reports: PDF reports are made on the practitioner's device, and are shared only when the practitioner chooses to print or send one.
Balance Points
This app has no account. A patient enters a code given to them by their practitioner, and the app shows that patient's treatment summary: their complaint, where it hurts, what the examination found, pain before and after treatment, diet plan, advice, next visit date, and the clinic's name and phone number. The code is stored on the patient's device so they do not have to enter it again. The app does not show practitioners' notes, the treatment given, or any other patient's information, and it does not upload anything.
How we use the information
Only to provide care at the clinic and to let patients see their own treatment summary. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties.
Where it is stored
Records are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Mumbai region, India), which acts as our service provider. Information is encrypted in transit. Access rules allow a practitioner to read only their own patients' records; a patient's summary can be read only by someone who has that patient's code.
Keeping and deleting information
Clinical records are kept for as long as the clinic needs them to care for the patient and to meet its legal obligations. To ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be corrected or deleted, contact the clinic using the details below.
Children
The apps are not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
